music off, the residents win - ViviMilano
By the end of the month the club must submit a remediation plan
music off, the residents win
Yes to the application, speakers banned "The Coquetel" Vetere street noise beyond the limits. "Now stop all over Milan"
No more music, DJs until late at night, concertinas guitar-harmonica. In short, just sleep and night life on the ground floor up to the fifth. Silence. A mansion is able to demonstrate the noise of "his" local, the street Coquetel Vetere, the Ticino. The Harp and the local police have measured the decibels: outlaws. Managers, "though they knew of the complaints" residents, "have done nothing to remedy the situation of disorder" (as Palazzo Marino). Eventually he was taken to the order of the City: mute plants, equalizer and speakers, and request for a "remediation plan" by November. Not complied with, would arrive the seals. Sgarra not more, there is the precedent. Another six apartment buildings in the district are ready to go. Complaint, sound level meters, orders. Real war to noise. It took six months. Assembly building, motorcycle Carbonaro at number 14 Via Vetere, fun way a hundred yards from Columns of San Lorenzo. Apart from the mandate lawyer Peter Meda and from him the complaint. On 18 May, the City asks the owners to preserve the "health and the rest" of the residents. They have a month's time. None. On 11 July, the Environment sector mobilizes the Harp. The blitz is on 9 October bedroom on the first floor of the building that houses The Coquetel, no warning, closed windows. Open microphones at 23:12 (13 minutes) and at 23.25 (Twenty more). Score: between music and chatter of customers, there's sound level meters to measure peak of 41 decibels on a noise floor of 26. Fifteen of difference is too much: the law allows three. There's a director behind this result. You committee area "The Citadel". The president is Pierluigi Masters: "We have handed the forms for complaint against noise pollution in all the buildings in the neighborhood." You are building assemblies have been convened. Here, in the Ticino, and tomorrow perhaps, elsewhere. Arco della Pace, say, "we are moving on the same line. We are trying to figure out how to enforce the rules to the premises and we sleep soundly "Says Canepa Madela, representative of the Committee ProArcoSempione. Same music, so to speak, on the canals. Via Vetere is a narrow gut that hosts a party every night of the mass. The happy hour starts in mid-afternoon and ends at two in the morning. The Coquetel There, the Bar Rattazzi, a couple more rooms and a restaurant. There would also be overseeing the brigade, the park office of the basilicas, but the evening is empty. The order, however, for three weeks has changed my life at least at number 14: "Now I sleep," smiles the tenant who has paid home ARPA. He sleeps now, but has long asked the local "Perhaps a rule." For some time, then. And attention to the dates. Year 2006: after the umpteenth protest, transmission Coquetel ship on the first floor a "technical side," which is square in the room and measure the decibels of background noise of 26, 26.5 peak. Reassurance to tenants: "All in good standing." Possible? Pare. On October 9, 2007 comes the Harp: 40-odd decibels maximum. The background noise, however, is indicated by the "technical side." A hoax, it seems. Armando Stella
